“The launch of Software AG Government Solutions is a critical component of the strategic initiative to increase our investment in North America that was introduced by Software AG CEO Karl-Heinz Streibich in early 2012,” said Jay Johnson, President and CEO of Software AG USA. “We are very excited by the caliber of talent we have on our Government Solutions team and our enhanced focus on implementing the best and most efficient software solutions to reduce cost and risk for government customers.”
Software AG Government Solutions will focus the company’s industry leading software products – including webMethods, Terracotta BigMemory, CentraSite and ARIS – on addressing some of the most highly complex and difficult IT challenges in the government sector. These products are delivering tangible results today in the areas of the large-scale, real-time integration of disconnected internal and external systems, the processing of terabytes of data at microsecond speeds on an open-source platform, the management and governance of service-oriented architecture assets, and in the area of real-time business process management and analytics.
“Each day government agencies like the Internal Revenue Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Navy process billions of mission-critical transactions with our innovative technologies,” said Tod Weber, CEO of Software AG Government Solutions. “Our customers represent every part of the federal landscape and we deliver cost-effective product offerings well suited for those with a specific focus on sensitive operations including security, safety and finance.”
“We prove the value of our solutions in the government environment before any major investments are made. This upfront effort enables the government to make an informed decision on whether to pursue a given solution based on facts and proven results,” Weber said. “There is no substitute for highly effective solutions and extremely talented personnel when addressing difficult budget challenges. We operate using a ‘special forces’ approach, sending in a small team of very talented experts who use our industry-leading solutions to get in quickly – make a positive impact – and enable our government customers and partners to benefit immediately from greater efficiency.”
