LONGMONT, Colo., Jan. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kozio, Inc. (www.kozio.com), the leading provider of software solutions for embedded hardware design verification and production test, today announced a distribution agreement between Kozio and Trilogic, a Value Added Reseller (VAR) that provides solutions for the electronic design industry. As structural test access is becoming more limited, Kozio addresses the growing need in the embedded hardware test area to do more software based functional testing for both design verification and production test. Trilogic will market and sell Kozio's Verification and Test OS (VTOS™) solution, which will both complement and expand their current offering in the hardware design and data management areas. Trilogic has been a value added reseller and provider of services for more than 20 years and has been developing products that enhance design environments since 1996.
"The Kozio products nicely complement the Trilogic offering, which will bring immediate benefit to our common users," said Matt McConnell, CEO of Kozio, Inc. "Trilogic will offer Kozio's complete product line that spans the entire embedded hardware life cycle and will help fill in the hardware design chain gap with a user configurable Verification and Test OS. Customers will seamlessly be able to move VTOS to the production test floor where custom scripts can optimize their test time."
Today's embedded hardware designs are becoming more complex with an expanding number of peripherals and fewer test access points. Kozio addresses these verification and test challenges with VTOS; a hardware test platform that provides functional tests, scripting and interactive debug without porting or compiling.
"Trilogic provides the value-added tools and services needed to develop a world class design automation tool flow, integrated to manufacturing systems and the enterprise," stated Brad Paul, CEO of Trilogic, Inc. "With the addition of Kozio's verification and production test solutions, we now can offer our customers a solution that will quickly verify new embedded designs and PCBs for design correctness and production readiness, replacing home-grown test executives or Linux as their test platform. The Kozio products fit well with our our existing customers as well extending our reach to new potential companies."

About VTOS Technology
At the foundation of Kozio's embedded design verification and production test solutions is the industry's first special-purpose OS architected exclusively for embedded design verification and production test. VTOS provides a hardware test platform that includes functional tests, scripting and interactive debug. VTOS is delivered as a binary package specific to the customer's processor family, which can be quickly configured for your embedded hardware—porting is not required. Configured binaries can be downloaded by the bootloader (U-boot) or via JTAG. VTOS is built to span the hardware lifecycle from design, to production, to field based power-on self-test. VTOS Suite provides an out-of-the-box solution that can save up to 75% of test program development costs.
VTOS Suite Test Drive
Kozio has made available a 30-day free trial of its VTOS Suite. This free trial is available now, and can be downloaded directly from the Kozio website http://www.kozio.com/evaluate-vtos
About Kozio, Inc.
Kozio is the leading provider of software solutions for embedded hardware design verification and production test. Kozio's technology includes a Verification and Test OS (VTOS)—a packaged solution that combines a special purpose OS with a comprehensive peripheral and processor functional test library. VTOS provides a powerful, user configurable verification environment for boot, functional test execution, file transfer and interactive debug. VTOS is designed specifically for the purpose of embedded hardware design verification to ensure design correctness, performance and reliability. VTOS replaces the traditional methods of creating one-off test programs or using the application OS as the hardware test platform. VTOS can also be utilized in production test and field power-on self-test, making the technology transferable within an organization.
