MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/12/12 -- Today, Appcelerator®, the leading mobile platform company, and WinWire Technologies, a collaboration and analytics specialist, announced they are partnering to enable enterprise developers to create native mobile applications seamlessly integrated with Microsoft SharePoint. Available in the Appcelerator Open Marketplace, SharePoint Connector is a plug-and-play module that allows mobile developers to securely build enterprise-class native mobile apps that incorporate SharePoint data, content and documents.
"Sharepoint Connector will allow organizations that leverage Microsoft SharePoint, to deliver better mobile experiences for their workforce and customers, regardless of the device they use," said Appcelerator COO Sandeep Johri. "On the heels of announcing Titanium's support for Microsoft Windows 8 and Window's Phone 8 platform, this integration further evidences our commitment to enterprise needs. We are excited to partner with WinWire to empower our outstanding community of developers and enterprise partners with the ability to equip mobile apps with SharePoint capabilities."
A valuable addition to the many other connectors currently accessible in the Appcelerator Open Marketplace, the SharePoint Connector is readily available for enterprises rapidly developing rich mobile apps. Through SharePoint Connector, enterprises using Appcelerator's Titanium platform can securely integrate Microsoft SharePoint data into mobile applications. Instead of building connecting modules to access SharePoint data, enterprises can focus on an application's core functionality and user interface. Equipped with offline capabilities, the module has highly customizable settings so that data can be accessed anywhere at anytime.
"As part of our 'Mobilize your SharePoint' initiative, this module helps enterprises eliminate the need to build connectors to pull data from their SharePoint platform," said WinWire CEO Ashu Goel. "Instead, it allows organizations to focus on the features and functions that matter most to their audiences, thereby facilitating the delivery of superior mobile experiences for each enterprise's audience."
WinWire will launch SharePoint Connector at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference on Nov. 12 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. WinWire will be hosting an evening of cocktails on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. PST at Julian Serrano at the Aria Hotel where WinWire will discuss its partnership with Appcelerator and showcase the SharePoint Connector module. Those who are not attending the conference are encouraged to learn about WinWire's SharePoint Connector by participating in a joint webinar Appcelerator and WinWire will host at 9 a.m. PST on Dec. 11.
