LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/09/09 -- Famed Actor and Venture Capitalist, John O'Hurley, discusses breakthroughs and significant leaps in the copper industry's productivity, as the spokesperson of Copper King Mining Corporation (PINKSHEETS: CPRK) and how the latest mining explorations will help catapult the American economy.
The company, just this week, announced they would substantially increase production with the completion of more than 500 tons of concentrates from its Milford, Utah mill and is presently preparing to ship another 250 tons of concentrate to the receiving smelter. Putting Copper King on the worldwide map as potentially 'one of the leaders in copper production.'
"We are excited to report progress in our productivity along with the recent drilling and discovery of additional, shallow high-grade mineralization so close to our mill and so accessible at the extension of the Bawana pit," said Mark D. Dotson, President and CEO of Copper King.
Copper King's push to garner public awareness started when the company signed on O'Hurley to host video news releases. He starred in the company's VNR which was used to provide key developmental information about the company together with an educational background about the importance of copper in the U.S. and world economies.
The All-American and charming, yet financially savvy, actor feels "honored to talk about copper advancements, including new mining explorations and its effect on the American industry sector on behalf of a mining company that truly cares about the environment and recognizes the need for responsibly mined copper as a contributing component to environmental improvement."
Since minerals are the backbone of all industry and civilization, the demand for copper, gold and silver continues to increase worldwide, so the company is ramping up its drilling program and has successfully encountered significant high-grade mineralization, up to 11% copper, in its most recently in its exploration drilling at the Bawana Extension project.
O'Hurley just wrapped up his run as King Arthur in Monty Python's musical, "Spamalot." He is also lauded for his starring appearances on the television shows, "Seinfeld," "Dancing with the Stars," and "Family Feud," and authored two NYTimes best sellers. On the business side, O'Hurley is part owner in six businesses including the J. Peterman Company, Energy-Inc, PoliteView and has equity positions in St. Andrew Goldfield as well as other companies. O'Hurley has appeared numerous times on Fox Business News, MSNBC and CNBC, and has been featured in Business Week and Time magazine.
