VAIO Extended Warranty a Huge Scam or a Terribly Managed Program?

This time I was told that “Sony must have given me their phone number, they have nothing to do with Sony VAIO computers or their warranty work, they are an outside company and they are no longer providing any warranty services for Sony.” The woman on the phone said he would transfer to the right extension who may possibly help me but hang up the phone on me.
